Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actor. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively on ABC's Lost TV show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school when her parents divorced to go into Los Angeles to live with her mother. The actress landed her first part as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001 despite struggling in the financial department. In 2002 she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and she shared the Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) along with her. After leaving the show, Grace would like to be as a film actress, and had starred opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. She reprised her role for Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part on Lost for two episodes, which included the final episode of the series. She was in 2013 for the sixth episode of Californication. She portrays Faith who's both the star-gazer and a the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal is a member of her family, and is the older cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her acting career started as a young teenager when she appeared in small roles in several films from her father. In addition, she was a part of her brother in 2001's cult movie Donnie Darko. She also starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal's leading roles in Secretary, the romantic comedy-drama erotico as well as Sherrybaby (a dramatic) earned her nominations for Golden Globe Award. In the wake of several successful commercial films like World Trade Center in 2006 she gained greater recognition when she played Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). She was nominated as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mother as she appeared in Crazy Heart. Following that she was able to appear in comedy films and dramas like Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and The Won't Back Down (12). The other roles she played were a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) and a musician in the film Frank (2014) and the title role in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
